Welcome to the Alberta Roamers’ blog. We are members of Escapees Chapter 44, an active group of outgoing people who enjoy travelling in our RVs.

We have members throughout Alberta, as well as in British Columbia, Ontario and Nova Scotia. More than a third of our members are Americans, so we are truly an international chapter.

If you’ve never been to a Chapter 44 event, why not join us soon? We host 3 rallies and 4 lunches a year and we’d be delighted if you could attend. It’s a great way to learn about the RV lifestyle, share tips and ideas, and have a lot of fun with like-minded people.

Our activities are open to all Escapees. If you’re not a SKP, you are still welcome to attend — come check us out. We may be just what you’re looking for!

      Hi Arlene & Gerald

So good to hear from you … sounds like a mini-rally for Ch 44 at the park. We’re sending a six-pack of hugs to all of you, with hopes for a Merry Christmas.

    Hi Gerald and Arlene;

Gerald is a pretty handy guy, he likely could build an ark big enough for 2 RV’s and all the animals too!
Unseasonable here in Yuma as well, with frost advisories all around us. We did the flea market yesterday and the vendors were all decked out in hoodies, flannel shirts, and yes, even ear muffs! It was around 50F at the time.
Everything is relative, Okotoks has got snow, blowing snow, and won’t see 50F for a few months.
It is 50F now at 11:30 AM, Sharon is in the pool doing her aquacise and I’m off to have a hot tub!
    Live is good!
    Hugs Bill & Sharon

      Hi Bill
… life can be good. If there’s lemons to be had make lemonade. In our part of the desert the bluebirds have come to visit us. A couple dozen have taken up residence at our water dish ( which was frozen solid this morning). I put out some bird seed for them but the coyote was around eating the seed before the birds got to it.

Yikes! Have ya got a paddle for your canoe? Sounds like you need to head for higher ground. It’s also cool over here in Arizona but we’re high and dry!

    Hi Gerald & Arlene

Sounds like you’ve had your share of “weather” for awhile … here’s to sunny skies and wind-free days (and of course, no snow!)

Hugs from Q. Hi to Hoppy & Janet when you connect with them and to Carol-Leah & Bill if you’re still in the same area.

      Hi Arlene & Gerald

Great to hear from you! How was your trip south? Any snow? G & I arrived in Q on Friday from Pahrump. Lovely weather here and everything is so green — there are some terrific rainstorms here at the end of the summer. Certainly rearranged a lot of real estate in the washes.

      Hugs
      Sally

  8. Don Busick Says:

Love your blog site. Well done with lots of information. I might have to look into this for Chapter 8.
Illness has kept us off the road for the last four years, but we are venturing out in May to travel east as far as Indiana.
Hope that Mary’s problems are behind her. It has been a long and difficult period.
SKP hugs, to all, Don and Mary Busick
