Dry Desert

How dry is dry? While we noticed how lush and green it was around Quartzsite this fall as a result of the summer monsoons, the part of the Sonoran where we are camped now has not been so fortunate. No new growth and the perennials are looking the worse for lack of water. Despite this there is still wildlife to be seen and we’ve enjoyed watching the critters that have come to our rig for water.

  1. It’s not as dry here in Yuma. Suprisingly high humidity in the AM’s, and we even had a few sprinkles of rain. We are enjoying many varieties of hummingbirds coming to our feeder!
