We left Calgary Sept. 15th, spent time with Elaine & Smokey in Pincher Creek, Larry & Sheila in Cowley, & Doug & Penny in Nakusp, B.C. also family in Vanc & area. Finally made it to the Island (Nanaimo) Oct.7th, was 12C. and raining. Although wet and/or cloudy 80% of the time we loved the Island life and activities.
Arrived in Wa. Nov. 14 and slowly made our way to SKP park in Chimacum, near Port Townsend. More RAIN so after 2 days got on our way south to San Fran. where we spent US Thanksgiving with Larry’s son and family. Hwy 101 scenery was awesome even on cloudy days (not much rain here). The stretch from Leggett to Bodega Bay was very strenuous and we won’t repeat. Montana de Oro south of Frisco is our favorite place. The camping fees have increased 100% or more in some places.
Next major stop was the SKP park at Jojoba Hills from Dec 6th to 27th. Doug and Jean are here and we decided to stay for Xmas. This is our longest stay in one place, thus the time to write a bit for the blog. Heading to AZ and Yuma area for New Year’s. A Very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a COOL YULE to ALL. See you on Usery Mtn. Hugs Marlene & Larry.
