We arrived home safely on Monday. The roads were clear and it got warmer the closer we got to home. Our first night in Beaver was freezing but our second night in Helena was lovely. We arrived home about 2:00 p.m. We had snow on Tuesday which is almost gone now so we really lucked out, getting home between storms.
We wonder if you heard about the hurricane force winds that came through southern Alberta on Sunday. They had to close off the downtown area in Calgary because of flying debris including broken windows. Coming by Lethbridge and on to Nanton we saw trailers in the ditch including semis. There were trees uprooted and metal siding scattered about. It apparently was pretty scary. We are not sure what happened in Sundre area but we heard they got hit too.
We are immersing ourselves in happenings around the condo. Today we helped to decorate the lobby and then sat and had wine and snacks. Sarah came down to help too. It was lovely. Our Christmas dinner is on the 12th and they saved us tickets.
Sarah said she saw you parked in the lot at the back when we went for our Roamers lunch in October. She had wanted to wave to you but she left for a couple of minutes and when she came back she couldn’t believe that you were gone. What could I say, but we were anxious to hit the road.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
