Our “Kids” Come to Visit

One of the neat things about this Chapter is the many friends we have made. And part of that is due to the “adoptions” we do at our rallies when new couples join us for the fun. Nearly two years ago we “adopted” Edith & Terry at Mesa.

They’re fulltimers from Alberta. We’d met them earlier when we were boondocking on Plomosa Road at Q. We invited them to join us for a happy hour populated mostly by Escapees and numerous Chapter 44 members.

It was a lot of fun visiting with Edith & Terry this week. They were good sports in spite of the bone-chilling weather we had here. We spent one afternoon touring them around town and the desert. They also got down to Organ Pipe and Lukeville. We did the town up royally one night — dinner at Pizza Hut 🙂

They left today, heading to Yuma and later on, out to Imperial Dam. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Larry & Sheila don’t bump into them out there.
