Tuesday dawned bright and clear and we were off and running.
It was a busy morning. Make-your-own breakfast in the hall for early birds. A hike around town with nimble-foot Gerry. Crafts with Fay. “Little Dresses for Africa” with Judy. RV Showcase.
Some of the card makers.
The sewing machines were just a’hummin.
Some of the results of a morning’s work.
We kicked off the afternoon with our Annual General Meeting. Our illustrious executive and chairfolks gave their yearly State of The Chapter reports. Thanks to outgoing Treasurer Sheila and welcome to Ann who will take over those duties. John, the resident scribe, agreed to stay on another term as Secretary.
You might well ask Who the heck is this guy? You know the adage “You can pick your friends but not your family”. I confess, it’s our “adopted”son Hoppy. Somehow I don’t think this sunhat design is going to take off.
Sun was one thing we didn’t have to worry about Tuesday afternoon. The skies opened up big time and down came the rain. It was a doozy.
Food always seems to be on our agenda at rallies. A great potluck dinner followed by a movie and popcorn. (See, what did I say about food?) New members Stan supervises Mel setting up the movie.
And the movie? Well, “RV” of course, starring Robin Williams. Though many of us had seen it before it’s much funnier with a group of people who’ve been-there-done-that. I hear tell that Kay was laughing so hard she had tears running down her face. 🙂
And so endeth the day. What happened Wednesday? More to come …
