Mesa Rally 2014 — Carol

Wasn’t that a rally!

It’s all over except for the memories but we had a great time at the 16th annual Mesa Rally. Many thanks to our hosts Larry and Sheila and Brian and Wendy for a job well done. As usual many other volunteers pitched in and helped with small jobs and thank you to them as well.

The week started on Sunday for some – Tuesday officially. We registered 39 people in 19 rigs — a few attendees came for day visits from town. Usery Park was truly lovely – very green and blooming.

The week’s events included a Boules game, several card games, several campfires, lunch at Organ Stop Pizza, crafts, walks, Ranger talk, visiting and catching up with old and new friends, and of course FOOD. Great food.

Rally 2015  is already in the works – March 16 to 20th – the week following the Tucson Escapade.  Hosts will be Carol, Dottie, Don and Ed and Julie.  Put us in your calendar.

Join Us for the Mesa Rally!

Altho’ our March rally in Mesa is several months away, the hosts want to make sure that everyone interested in attending is signed up. Please remember that if you plan to attend we must have your registration ahead of time. You’ll find all the info about the rally here.

We’ll have some of our favourite events — a potluck, a trip to Organ Stop Pizza, a make-your-own breakfast in the ramada with fresh coffee every morning and of course no rally would be complete without the Hitchup Breakfast on the last day. The women usually let the men win the Beanbag Baseball game — that ensures they’re in good spirits when they cook and serve us breakfast on the last morning. 🙂

The hosts have also planned several other activities designed to turn this into a great week of fun and friendship.

Who can attend the rally? Everyone is welcome — you don’t have to be a member of Escapees or Chapter 44. If you like RVing and would like to meet people who share your interests (and have a lot of fun doing it), then sign up and check us out.
